UIG Lodge Smoked Salmon produces award-winning smoked salmon. They hand-produce some of the finest smoked salmon that can be found in Scotland on the stunning west coast of the Isle of Lewis.
It has been a small family-run business since 1984 and Dickon and his wife Elly have a loyal customer base including Michelin Starred restaurants and many fine food outlets.
Their recipe for high quality flavour is their use of the finest fresh fish combined with a unique curing process. They use oak chips for smoking and tend to steer away from the over complicated. Their recipe is a simple one developed over many years combining the finest quality ingredients - fish, salt and oak chips - with attention to detail.
The UIG Lodge team is passionate about producing the best smoked salmon in Scotland. It's their specialism enabling them to produce the finest product winning them multiple awards including three gold stars in the Great Taste Awards 2011, 2013 and 2014. They also won one of the major Great Taste awards, ‘Speciality Producer of the Year’ in 2014. More recently in 2015, UIG were shortlisted for DEFRA’s top 50 UK Food Stars continuing their award-winning status.
